Ginger World: Scientists Identify Ginger Dinosaur

A scientific break-through has identi-fied the colour of a dinosaur for the first time — and, wouldn't you know, its a redhead.

The small carnivore Sinosauropteryx, which lived in China some 125 million years ago, was russet in colour and featured orange and white bristle-like feathers along its back, researchers claim.

Electron microscopes were used on a fossil of the labrador-sized reptile to detect pigment-carrying cell structures.

Scientists and artists have long speculated on the colours of dinosaur species without concrete evidence - until now. Viva la ginger!...
